SHELLEY BURNETT
With a unique educational background (a Bachelor’s in Criminology from the University of Ottawa and an HR degree from McGill), Shelley has been able to approach roles throughout her career from a different angle. From IT Operations at Bell Canada, where she was first certified in ITIL in 1995, Shelley has taken on more progressive roles in Operations and Service Delivery, for organizations in a wide variety of industries, including Consulting (CGI), Aerospace IT (SITA), and Pharmaceuticals (IMS Health, IC Axon). In 2013, Bayshore Speciality Rx recruited Shelley to lead their Specialty Pharmaceutical division as Director Patient Services, responsible for delivering operational efficiencies in specialty pharmaceutical manufacturer’s Patent Assistance Programs. After 3 years with Bayshore Speciality Rx, Shelley joined the corporate Bayshore Health Care team to be the leader of Digital Heath and Innovation.
BRYAN KENNY
Bryan always wanted to use his English degree in his career, starting with volunteering to write a procedure manual while working at Bell Canada. The writing bug continued, as Bryan joined the high-tech world at Matrox. Simplifying complex concepts in a user-first mindset guided him for the next 20 years at Matrox, Convivio, and Autodesk. While at Autodesk, Bryan also took on a leadership role (managing content teams and deliverables), and looked for new methods (whether through technology or storytelling) to serve the right content at the right time. Content is not only for external users – Bryan has also used his communication skills to help spread the word internally (through facilitation, joining core teams, crafting newsletters, etc.)
